The art of mixing patterns can be daunting at first. I truly believe if you feel good you look good. There have been many times where I mix patterns and I leave the house thinking. OH LORD! What was I thinking?!?!? Then someone comes up and says “I love your necklace or skirt” I instantly feel like I did something right. I love to tie the shirt at my waist to accentuate it. Here are my tips for mixing patterns

Keep the top a smaller print than the bottom

Don’t be afraid to mix colors. Keep a color wheel in your closet and use that for reference.

Keep the shoes neutral. I tend to keep my shoes simple if I’m mixing patterns. As much as I love a neon pink heel. I’ll hold off for another outfit.

Most importantly HAVE FUN! Remember: This isn’t brain surgery. Clothes are meant to express who you are without saying a word.
