The King and I: Crave Goes To Graceland

Since I was a young girl. I have always wanted to visit Graceland. Growing up Elvis music was always playing in the background. My father was the worlds biggest Elvis fan! He would go to flea markets and if it was anything related to Elvis, he would buy it!

My nephew was recently looking at Ole Miss, so it was the perfect opportunity to visit Memphis. We drove 13 hours from Orlando, Florida to Ole Miss.

Graceland is about an hour from the school.

Upon arriving to Graceland, you are given an iPad. John Stamos narrates the tour as you walk through the mansion. I like this feature because it’s your own personal tour. You can replay something if you missed anything.

This is the music room where Elvis would entertain guests

The formal dining room

His parents bedroom on the first floor. The second floor of the mansion was closed off to visitors.image

The kitchen! This is where he enjoyed his peanut butter and banana sandwiches! Growing up my mother had an Elvis Favorites Cookbook titled “Are You Hungry Tonight” lol

The famous “Jungle Room” he would entertain guests here as well. Love a good leopard print

Billiard room aka my favorite. The entire room is draped in pleated fabric. Famous interior designer William Eubanks purchased 350 yards of fabric. It took 3 men 10 days to complete it. Pretty impressive!

His trophy room was breathtaking. It is amazing how many awards he won and what he accomplished in his lifetime. The next room was a room filled with all his famous jumpsuits. On a large screen they played a video from his famous concert in Hawaii. They played my favorite song An American Trilogy!

My Current Craves: Part 1

This is the beginning of a series I’m calling my “Cravorites”. Whether its a new beauty product, restaurant or quote! It will be something that I currently “CRAVE”!

4. I love a good embellishment & this Asos Top is so beautiful!

4. I am thrilled to have found these wardrobe racks. They have a feminine design and are well made. Perfect for hanging your favorite pieces!

5. For years I have heard rave reviews about Latisse and Neulash! Both are lash enhancing serums. I started using NEULASH last night and will write a full blog post review when I start to see results!

The Bikini Bag

When Andrew and I first started dating, we traveled to the islands as often as we could!

Aruba, St. Maarten, Turks & Caicos, Puerto Rico, Curacao & Antigua. They are all beautiful, but my favorite was Barbados!

During those trips, I always made sure to bring a bikini bag! It’s perfect for those trips to the beach or the pool! After spending all day in the water! There is nothing worse than sitting in a wet bathing suit all day! That’s why these bags are perfect. They are lined so they won’t leak if you need to throw it in your beach bag with a book or your ipad! I also pack toiletries in them when traveling. There is nothing worse than getting to your destination and your shampoo has exploded!

Below I’ve included my favorite bikini bags!

My Cravorite Skirts

A love of fashion runs in my family. My mother and grandmother have amazing style! Just like myself, you will hardly ever catch them in a pair of pants. My greatest memory is taking the train into Boston to go to Filene’s Basement. I never appreciated those trips until I got older. After graduating from college. I worked at the Ritz Carlton & I would go everyday on my lunch break. The deals were amazing! Wish it was still around!

I have always believed that if you look good, you feel good about yourself. That’s why skirts are my favorite. I feel beautiful in them.

When I found this skirt. I knew I had to own it in every color. It’s comfortable, flowy & has a vintage feel to it! I have bought every color because I literally live in them all the time. To accentuate my waist, I usually wear them with a t-shirt or sweater and tie it in the front!

We only regret the things we didn’t buy!

Top Coat

As much as I have tried to paint my own nails, it’s disastrous! A weekly manicure is a MUST!

I recently got my first French manicure since senior prom. I loved it. That doesn’t mean I won’t go for that hot pink polish next week! I’ve listed my favorite colors from the perfect nude to a shocking pink:

From left to right

Essie “Marshmallow”: I love this over a French manicure!

Essie “Ballet Slippers”: My all time favorite. The perfect classic pale pink with a sheer finish.

Zoya “Farrah“: When I’m wearing bright clothes, I grab my favorite nude polish!

Essie “Lounge Lover“: A classic flamingo pink, pretty peachy pink!

I love neon polish and when I wear it, I always get compliments! All that Razz & Jackie OH : Bright & Gorgeous Shades of Neon Pink!

7. Burberry “Military Red”: A classic red!

Essie “Bobbing for Baubles”: Obviously, I love the name. This is such a beautiful deep sapphire! A winter fav of mine!

What are your favorite nail polishes?
