This is our first home and we are absolutely in love with it. Decorating a home is quite daunting at first. The thought of colors, rugs, tables, couches can be overwhelming.

After much thought, I have decided to ease into it and take my time. My goal is to have a home we don’t want to leave. A home filled with love & pretty things. I have decided that it may take us years to have our dream home but that is the fun of it all. Finding pieces of art or furniture on trips. Waiting for that couch that you know will complete the living room. I’m ok with waiting, as I want pieces in my home that I love. Like a good wardrobe I want to be happy knowing it’s mine:)

I am in the beginning stages of decorating the guest bedroom. These photos show what I would call my canvas! I love a neutral home. Whites & greys are my favorite. Having a neutral home allows us to add pops of color with throw blankets, decorative pillows and art!

I am trying to decide how I want to take this bedroom to the next level.

I am thinking of adding these paper flowers above the bed. I just love the colors! I also love the idea of paper above a bed!

We have a beautiful Persian Rug in our bedroom and I just love it!

This rug is beautiful and it is a fraction of the price!

I love these pillows! They would even go well in my living room on our big comfy white couch!
